Q: WHO ELSE WILL BE AT NOMAD LIFE?

From web developers, videographers, photographers, to entrepreneurs or any other creative nomad, anyone able to work away from the stationery office and is able to contribute positively to the community is welcome.

Q: CAN I COME FOR A SHORTER PERIOD?

We recommend making your stay at least one week in order to take advantage of the creative networking available from the community, if you can’t come for a full week then apply through the button to the upper right with the dates that you are available and we will do our best to accommodate.

Q: DO I HAVE TO BE AN ESTABLISHED DIGITAL NOMAD TO COME?

We welcome and encourage anyone looking into kickstarting their Digital Nomad journey to come and learn more about this unique lifestyle. Our team is made up of many travellers and nomads who have been successfully working professionally while travelling the world to satisfying our insatiable wanderlusts and are more than happy to pass on the knowledge that we’ve acquired on the way.

Q: WHAT ARE THE ACCOMMODATION AND FACILITIES LIKE?

We are located in the beautiful Rayito de Luna, a unique 11-bedroom villa with an infinity pool overlooking the San Juan del Sur Bay. Please see the Nicaragua gallery for more info about and pictures of the location.

Q: WHAT WILL THE INTERNET BE LIKE?

We will have internet service running at 25+mbps with multiple routers in two work areas. Backup power generators and hotspotting will be available in the event of (occasional) power outages that may occur in the area.

Q: ARE PETS ALLOWED?

We love all animals but unfortunately we don't allow pets at our facility. Registered service animals are allowed.   

Q: WHAT KINDS OF PROJECTS DO DIGITAL NOMADS WORK ON?

Many Digital Nomads find a balance between taking on remote freelance work in their field, or kickstarting personal entrepreneurial projects. The team members of our parent company, Life Before Work Travel are used to communicating and working away from a centralized location and many have part-time projects and freelance assignments on the go.

Q: WHAT WILL THE WORK VS. LIFE BALANCE BE?

We encourage everyone who arrives to focus on dedicating as much effort as they would like into their creative goals, but to also remember that achieving a desirable work-life balance is key to maximizing productivity. Many of our activities will be community-driven, and you can expect to find people interested in activities such yoga, hiking, rock climbing, board games, music, nightlife, or anything else San Juan del Sur and the surround area has to offer.

Q: WHAT ABOUT VISAS?

Entering Nicaragua, visas are not required for travellers from Canada and the United States with a tourist card that is obtained at a port of entry for a US $10 fee, payable in cash. Please make sure to carefully research and obtain the necessary travel documentation that is needed for you to enter Nicaragua from your home country’s travel advisories.

Q:WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?

The listed prices include your accommodations, along with private & open work spaces, and potential workshops through the week. Co-working packages include access to private and open work spaces from 8am to 9pm. Please see the prices page for more information.

Q: WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?

The listed prices do not include your food for your stay, the cost of any transportation you require during your stay or any other activities not listed above.

Q: WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY STAY?

We accept reservations up to 24 hours prior to the requested arrival date or until we have reached capacity. Space is limited, so we recommend booking your stay as soon as you have your travel plans coordinated to ensure your spot.  

Q: WHAT IS YOUR GENERAL PAYMENT PLAN?

After your application is received and our team has contacted you to confirm your dates and accommodations, a $200 deposit will be required in order to reserve your space; our team will contact you thereafter to confirm your reservation dates and to send you your invoice outlining the remaining balance. The balance must be paid in full 30 days prior to the check-in date.

Q: IS MY DEPOSIT REFUNDABLE?

Unfortunately, your deposit is non-refundable; however, your deposit is lifetime transferrable to any available future booking at a NomadLife location.

Q: HOW DO I PAY?

For Canadian clients, your second/final payments can be made by cheque or email Interac transfer. For International Clients, your second/final payments can be made by PayPal, or cheque.

Q: WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

Cancellations made within 14 days of the arrival date are subject to forfeiture of 100% of the deposit and invoiced fee. Cancellations made within 30 days of the arrival date are subject to forfeiture of 50% of the cost of the deposit and invoiced fee.

Q: HOW MUCH SPENDING MONEY WILL I NEED?

Your daily required spending money will vary depending on how you decide to spend your evenings/free time; however, we recommend a minimum of $30 USD a day for food, drinks, activities, additional transportation etc.

Q: WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Bring anything you need to get both your work and adventure done right! Make sure you pack your computer/laptop/camera and all required cords and accessories as those can often be expensive to replace. For everything else, refer to your usual travel packing list and make sure you have everything from work/lounge/everyday wear, to a Sunday Funday outfit (we'll let you be the judge on that one!)

Q: DO YOU HAVE A CODE OF CONDUCT?

All guests, facilitators, speakers, and mentors are expected to conform to an acceptable level of hygiene, demeanor, and overall conduct. Harassing behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated.
